Job Summary
We are seeking a Dental Biller to join our team! As a Biller, you will be working closely with clients to answer questions related to billing, processing all forms needed for insurance billing purposes, and collecting necessary documentation from clients. The ideal candidate has excellent attention to detail, strong customer service skills, and is comfortable spending much of the day on the phone.
Responsibilities
Communicating with patients: Dental billers contact patients to request payment or provide payment reminders
Communicating with insurance companies: Dental billers negotiate reimbursement for claims with insurance companies
Researching insurance plans: Dental billers research insurance plans to determine covered services, reimbursements, and out-of-pocket costs
Submitting claims: Dental billers submit claims to insurance companies using software programs or by mail
Posting payments: Dental billers post payments to patient accounts
Documenting information: Dental billers document treatment plans, insurance, payment, and patient information
Qualifications
Strong customer service skills
Previous experience with medical coding or billing desired
Strong organization skills
Excellent attention to detail
Dental assisting experience is a plus
