$5500-$7000 based on experience. Position Overview: Bishop Blanchet High School is seeking a Head Wrestling Coach for the 2025-2026 Winter Season. Applicants with previous coaching experience at the HS level, 21 years or older, possessing a valid Washington State driver’s license and current First Aid/CPR/AED certification are preferred. This position reports to the Athletic Director. Wrestling is a Winter Sport. The season runs from November 17, 2025 through February 21, 2026. Responsibilities: Compliance with all Bishop Blanchet HS, Metro League, and WIAA policies and procedures.
Supervision of student-athletes during all team activities including practices and competitions. Coaches need to be available between the hours of 3pm-7pm during the season as well as weekends for tournaments.
Effective communication with players, coaching colleagues, and parents.
Promotion of sportsmanship, camaraderie, and fair play among team members.
Motivate and encourage players' individual progress with an emphasis on promoting teamwork and strategic development.
Manage coaching staff.
Manage the yearly wrestling budget.
Determine yearly schedule of tournaments with approval from AD.
