Base pay range $55,000.00/yr - $60,000.00/yr Job Title: Director of Major Giving and Donor Relations Position Classification: Exempt Reports to: Chief Development Officer General Function The Director of Major Giving and Donor Relations will play a critical role in helping the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City (BGCGKC) achieve its vision by managing day-to-day fundraising activities. This includes stewardship, cultivation, and solicitation of individual donors, small businesses, civic, and corporate communities. Working with the Chief Development Officer, the role involves developing external alliances and expanding BGCGKC’s donor base to support current and future programs. Primary Responsibilities And Activities RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT Utilize ‘moves management’ principles to cultivate and solicit corporate, individual, foundation, and civic prospects Collaborate with Marketing Communications to keep donors and volunteers informed Expand relationships through affinity events and exploratory meetings with prospects, discussing sponsorships and contributions Manage donor recognition and impact reporting to demonstrate how gifts support BGCGKC’s work Coordinate with Programs and Operations to share significant information with donors LEADERSHIP Manage a portfolio of 40-50 significant donors and prospects, focusing on securing funds (excluding grants) Support a culture of philanthropy, gratitude, and stewardship Assist in developing fundraising standards and tools with the Chief Development Officer Position Requirements Bachelor’s degree in a related field; an advanced degree is preferred At least five years of experience in nonprofit program management and fund development Proven strategic planning and fundraising success with measurable results Extensive experience working with individual and corporate donors Position Qualifications Commitment to the organization’s core ideology Dynamic, high-energy, self-starter with teamwork and independence skills Experience in team building and staff development Excellent communication skills Strong problem-solving and strategic planning abilities Innovative and proactive in achieving goals Customer service oriented Aligned with the mission and ethical standards Proficient in Microsoft Office and Raisers Edge Flexible and adaptable within the organization Additional Details Seniority level: Mid-Senior level Employment type: Full-time Job function: Management, Non-profit, and Information Technology Industry: Non-profit Organization Management #J-18808-Ljbffr
