Overview
Direct placement opportunity with one of the nation's largest building systems experts. Targeting a Senior Automation Controls Engineer with hands on experience in construction systems programming and commissioning of digital HVAC controls systems (DDC). Prior experience supporting Commercial, Data Center, and Mission Critical Facilities is ideal.
Must Haves
- 7-10 years’ of technical hands on experience in construction systems programming and commissioning of digital HVAC controls systems (DDC)
- Delta and Distech controls systems knowledge required
- Specific experience with Tridium Niagara PLC's
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Advanced knowledge of computers and MS Suite software products, specifically Excel
- AutoCAD and/or drafting experience.
- Extensive knowledge of project accounting, costing principals and contracting
Day-to-day:
- On-site project leader supporting the design, installation, and implementation of all technical aspects of newly-installed Building Automation Systems in retrofit or newly constructed buildings
- Performs highly complex and innovative software integration, design and programming, trial runs and investigative tests
- You will spend 60% of time in office programming and 40% on project sites
- Redlines and designs and creates all custom software programs, point database and graphics that are used with the workstations and website interfaces and building automation systems consisting of mechanical system layouts, electrical drawings, bill of materials, sequence of operations, valve and damper schedules, DDC panel layouts to meet the intent of the project plans, specifications and contract documents for small or special projects.
- Leads technical teams to execute flawless technical product support for building automation systems that have been newly installed. Trains and mentors technicians, Controls Engineering Specialists and Project Engineers.
