GXO Logistics is looking for Vice President, Business Development (Individual Contributor) - Remote in San Francisco, CA. Responsibilities: Draft and analyze commercial leases, lease amendments, lease abstracts, use exclusives and prohibitions, SNDA’s, estoppels, and waivers. Assist attorneys in all stages of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and leasing. Communicate with real estate department, landlords, and property managers. Analyze title commitments, surveys, and exception documents; identify issues and collaborate with title companies to resolve them. Conduct proofreading of leases, amendments, and related documents to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with legal and contractual standards. Manage due diligence processes, including obtaining and reviewing property reports, zoning certificates, environmental studies, and corporate documents. Prepare closing checklists, organize closing documents, and ensure compliance with transaction timelines. Assist with forming legal entities (LLCs, partnerships, etc.) and manage ongoing corporate compliance requirements for real estate transactions. Maintain organized transaction files and ensure accurate filing of all documents post-closing. Conduct legal research related to real estate laws, regulations, and property records to support transaction decisions. Serve as a point of contact for clients, opposing counsel, lenders, brokers, and other stakeholders involved in the transaction process. Other duties as assigned. What you bring to the table: 5+ years of current and relevant experience in transactional real estate, especially retail leasing. Proven experience as a paralegal in real estate transactions or a related field. Strong understanding of real estate laws, title and survey analysis, and transactional processes. Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple transactions simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with legal research tools and document management systems. Paralegal certification or relevant degree preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. Dependable, responsible, and possess the ability to work independently and remain diplomatic when dealing with all firm personnel. Punctuality and regular attendance are expected.
