Butler Community College is seeking a full-time welding instructor. This position will teach welding courses at Butler’s Rose Hill campus and would include teaching courses as part of the Early College Academy as well as other welding course offerings (Blueprint Reading, Cutting Processes, GMAW, GTAW, SMAW, Oxy-fuel Gas, etc…). Prospective candidates will be required to incorporate a variety of instructional techniques and technologies into the classroom and welding lab.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge and Skills
- Must be committed to student engagement and learning outcomes.
- Knowledge of and experience in welding techniques.
Required Experience
- At least 3 years of industry related experience.
- Prior teaching experience is preferred.
Required Educational Background
- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) credential is required (or must be obtained within 1 year of hire).
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Associate’s degree or higher in related area is preferred.
