We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Buyer in partnership with a client within the manufacturing field in Binghamton, NY. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll management, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.?

Job Summary:?
Pay: 55K - 63k
Shift: Monday - Friday: 8:00am - 5:00pm?

Buyer Position Duties:?
Enroll new employees into the company's HRIS/Payroll system, record employee status changes, and monitor payment deductions. Assist in all stages of payroll processing throughout each payroll cycle, including gathering necessary information for payments. Review and verify employee timecards weekly for accuracy and compliance. Gather necessary information-such as hours worked, benefits taken, and overtime-and process payments. Track local and federal tax deductions, benefits contributions, and other factors impacting accurate and timely payment processing. Respond to employee inquiries regarding paychecks, including questions on deductions, accruals, and other payroll-related information. Conduct payroll audits and assist with various data-specific audits. Coordinate with the finance team to ensure payroll transactions align with relevant budget policies. Support payroll system upgrades and implementations by participating in testing, validation, and documentation changes. Prepare reports for upper management and the finance department. Prepare and respond to external employment verification requests. Buyer Qualifications:?
High School Diploma/ GED? 3+ years of experience in Payroll or another administrative HR role. Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Accounting, or a relevant field is preferred. Knowledge of payroll-related laws and regulations. Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data analysis tools. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word for preparing payroll reports, memos, and documentation. Strong time-management and multitasking abilities. Excellent communication skills.?
