Applicants do not need a commercial driver’s license to apply.
Qualified applicants will receive
paid training
by Metro to acquire their CDL, along with reimbursement for CDL fees. Metro bus operator pay begins at
$20 per hour
for trainees, increasing to
$22.67 per hour
immediately after training, with guaranteed pay increases every six months and opportunities to earn premium pay on high-demand routes. Metro also provides comprehensive health and dental benefits, retirement benefits and free transportation passes for a spouse and dependents.
New operators will be eligible to receive a $2,000 hiring bonus upon the successful completion of their trial trip and 95-day probationary period. Upcoming Fixed Route Operator Career Fairs

to assist those interested in applying for a position. All fairs listed below (unless otherwise specified) will take place at
Metro’s Queensgate facility , located at
