This is your chance to be a part of an exciting initiative with significant results. Leidos is in search of a Software Engineer (SWE-3) for a dynamic team focused on new design and prototyping in a fast-paced Agile environment. The Software Engineer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing sophisticated software systems (such as processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) according to established requirements. You will work both independently and collaboratively within a team. Responsibilities include reviewing and testing software components for adherence to design requirements, documenting test results, and resolving software issue reports. You will utilize appropriate software development and design methodologies and provide specific input to the software components of system design, including hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, and requirement analysis. Clearance Required: Must have TS/SCI with Polygraph. Key Responsibilities: Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance criteria. Debug and correct existing software issues. Design and code new software or modify existing applications to introduce new features. Integrate existing software into new or updated systems or operating environments. Develop straightforward data queries for current or proposed databases or data repositories. Write or review necessary software and system documentation. Develop or implement algorithms to achieve or exceed system performance and functional benchmarks. Basic Qualifications: 20 years of experience as a Software Engineer in programs and contracts of a similar nature and complexity. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited institution. Clearance Required: Must have TS/SCI with Polygraph. Proven experience in debugging software and resolving defects. Solid background in software design and performance requirement analysis. Experience developing straightforward data queries. Familiarity with integrating existing software into new systems. Ability to write or assess software and system documentation. Preferred Qualifications: Proficient with Git, Linux, Jira, Confluence, Eclipse. Knowledge of Agile Scrum methodologies. Experience with React or similar libraries (Vue, Angular). Strong problem-solving abilities. Capability to lead technical teams. Experience with complex database or data repository interfaces/queries. Proven track record in ensuring the quality control of developed and modified software. Original Posting Date:

Pay Range: Pay Range $148,850.00 - $269,075.00 The Leidos pay range for this position serves as a general guideline and is not a guarantee of compensation.
