Architect, build, and operate scalable, distributed systems and backend services on AWS (or Azure with willingness to transition). Design and implement RESTful APIs with clean, scalable interfaces and best-in-class performance. Develop robust backend services using modern languages such as Python, Node.js, Go, Java etc. Work with a mix of NoSQL and relational databases Implement and enforce cloud networking and security best practices. Use Docker, Kubernetes, and serverless tools (AWS Lambda & Functions) to deliver modern, efficient solutions. Manage access and authentication using IAM, Azure AD, or similar identity services. Collaborate cross-functionally with DevOps, frontend, and product teams to deliver features and infrastructure improvements. Requirements: 8+ years of backend software development experience, with a strong emphasis on cloud-based systems. Proven ability to design and scale microservices and distributed systems in production. Deep knowledge of AWS or Azure—must be open to AWS-based project work. Strong foundation in cloud networking, infrastructure, and security. Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and infrastructure-as-code is a plus. A proactive mindset and a passion for clean, maintainable code. Bonus Points For: Familiarity with observability tools, performance monitoring, and SRE principles. Seniority level
