Position Summary
The Benefits Leader will be responsible for managing and overseeing the company's benefits programs, ensuring that employees are provided with competitive and cost-effective benefits packages. This role requires an individual who is detail-oriented, analytical, and possesses excellent communication skills. The Benefits Manager will collaborate with HR, payroll, and other departments to deliver outstanding service to employees while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Benefit Program Administration :
Administer and manage employee benefit programs including health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), disability, vehicle reimbursement programs, employee recognition programs and wellness initiatives. Assist with leave entitlement administration Maintain vendor relationships and ensure the proper execution of benefits services. Monitor the effectiveness of benefits plans and recommend adjustments based on employee feedback and industry trends. Compliance & Regulatory Requirements :
Ensure all benefits programs comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., ACA, FMLA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, etc.). Keep up-to-date with changes in benefits legislation and recommend policy adjustments to maintain compliance. Prepare and submit required reports and filings, such as annual 5500 forms, to regulatory bodies. Employee Communication & Support :
Develop and maintain educational materials to inform employees about available benefits options and enrollment procedures. Provide one-on-one support to employees regarding benefit inquiries, claims issues, and program options. Conduct benefit orientations for new hires and assist with open enrollment processes. Open Enrollment Management :
Lead and coordinate the open enrollment process, ensuring smooth transitions, timely communications, and accurate processing of employee elections and EDI Files to carriers. Work with HR and payroll teams to ensure correct deductions and benefit plan enrollments. Wellness Programs :
Support the development and implementation of employee wellness programs aimed at improving overall employee health and well-being. Evaluate the effectiveness of wellness programs and suggest improvements based on employee engagement and participation.
Position Requirements • Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis in human resources, business, finance or related field required • 6+ years of experience in compensation and benefits, to include designing, implementing, and administering compensation and benefits programs • The ability to create and critique strategy for compensation and benefits platforms • Experience with Dayforce is preferred • Demonstrated effective management and leadership skills • Strong written and verbal communication skills for interaction at all levels of the organization • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Proven results orientation and ability to execute to conclusion • Ability to effectively interface with all levels of management and employees
