Hotel Royal Oak, a vibrant boutique hotel in the heart of Royal Oak, Michigan, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Director of Campus Cleanliness. Our property is known for its hip, local, and social atmosphere, featuring stylish guest rooms, a lively HI-FI Lounge Lobby Bar, and inviting outdoor gathering spaces.
Position Overview:
As the Director of Campus Cleanliness, you will lead our housekeeping and grounds team to ensure that guest rooms and public areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. Your role is crucial in delivering an exceptional guest experience that reflects the unique charm of Hotel Royal Oak.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations, ensuring all areas meet our boutique hotel's cleanliness standards.
- Inspect guest rooms, the lobby lounge, and outdoor spaces to guarantee immaculate conditions.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping and grounds staff, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary.
- Collaborate with other departments to address guest needs and special requests promptly.
- Implement and uphold safety and sanitation protocols throughout the property.

Requirements
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of housekeeping experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities, and the ability to speak Spanish well is very helpful, but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with housekeeping procedures and safety guidelines.
