Highway West Vacations is seeking a passionate and experienced General Manager to lead our property at stunning Lake Siskiyou in Mt. Shasta, California. Job Summary
As General Manager, you are the heartbeat of the property, leading all departments and ensuring smooth daily operations. You’ll set strategic goals, build a high-performing team, and work closely with department managers to execute your vision. From financial planning and budgeting to team coaching and operational oversight, this role allows you to shape the success of your location while delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and inspire a cross-functional team across all departments Set and track performance goals through weekly meetings, coaching, and property walks Identify areas for operational improvement and implement strategic solutions Manage budgets, financial planning, and cost controls to meet or exceed targets Serve as the primary liaison with regional leadership on all major initiatives Uphold company standards and ensure compliance with all policies and procedures
Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or a related field 4-5 years of hotel or restaurant leadership experience Proven ability to train, mentor, and develop high-performing teams Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Professional presence and a guest-first mindset Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Capable of being on your feet for extended periods Valid Driver’s License
