The Housekeeping Lead is responsible for planning, supervising, and performing custodial and housekeeping operations across assigned facilities at AAAF. This includes oversight of staff, quality control of cleaning services, inventory tracking, and adherence to cleanliness and safety standards as outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). The position requires a hands-on leadership approach, ensuring a safe, sanitary, and professional environment for all personnel and guests.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all housekeeping operations including scheduling, task assignments, training, and quality control of Cleaning Technicians.
- Coordinate with other Facility Managers to ensure contractual cleaning standards are consistently met across assigned buildings.
- Lead by example in executing custodial tasks, including restrooms, common areas, lodging facilities, and recreation centers.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and military regulations related to facility hygiene and maintenance.
- Perform facility inspections and report service deficiencies, safety concerns, or supply needs to management.
- Maintain documentation of cleaning activities, training records, and personnel performance.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and vehicles used for delivery of supplies or furniture.
- Provide support for linen management, restocking, and furniture or equipment exchanges.
- Perform escort duties and assist with deliveries of bottled water, supplies, and newspapers.
- Maintain a clean, professional, and hazard-free environment at all times.
- Supervise and support local national (LN) workforce in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Ensure adherence to operational timelines and proper timekeeping practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet mission requirements or operational needs.
Qualifications
- Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- One year of related experience may be substituted for one year of education.
- Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a custodial, housekeeping, or maintenance environment.
- At least one (1) year of progressive supervisory or lead experience preferred.
- Prior experience working under U.S. government contracts or in contingency environments is preferred.
- Certifications & Requirements:
- Must be fluent in spoken and written English.
- Must have a valid passport and Home Country Driver’s License
- Must be capable of obtaining and maintaining an Space Force flight line driver’s license.
- Must meet deployment physical qualification requirements, including medical, dental, psychological evaluations, and drug testing.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) required.
- Additional Duties Statement:
- The Housekeeping Lead may be assigned additional duties and responsibilities by the Maintenance/Custodial Manager or other designated leadership in support of evolving mission requirements, contract objectives, or emergency situations.
