Summary
Responsible for the administrative strategic planning and organizational growth activities that support the clinical research mission of Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children's. Partner with the Executive Director, Center for Research Advancement to operationalize growth strategic plan for the research mission. Responsible for working with leaders and investigators across Baylor and Texas Children's, implementing key strategic initiatives in response to the changing academic research environment and of both institutions.
Job Duties
Responsible for strategic implementation of clinical research mission initiatives through administrative planning, programming and establishment of identified clinical research programs and activities. Develops, maintains, and evaluates ongoing plans for clinical research programs that meet system-wide needs and multiple constituencies. Recommends resources needed to meet operational goals. Leads, manages and holds institutional responsibility for clinical research infrastructure strategy implementation. Monitors and responds to customer needs and any changes in the clinical research mission, funding agency and sponsor environment as well as research regulations and standards. Oversees project management for centralizing research infrastructure including needs assessment, resource allocation, infrastructure implementation, and continued assessment of integration process. Directs the development and reporting of metrics for the clinical research initiatives and administration units. Leads, co-leads, or serves as member, on institutional committees including affiliate hospital joint management committees, research informational technology committees, and task force initiatives as representation of the research mission with a primary focus on clinical strategic growth research initiatives. Collaborates process with TCH Research IT on standardizing and streamlining use of data in research. Creates and implements standard procedures and data utilization infrastructure. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field. Eight years of relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree Experience in clinical research and/or academia Experience with business development, strategic planning and project management
