Job Summary and Qualifications As a Certified Instrument/Sterile Processing Tech, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will assist in patient care by providing properly cleaned, sterilized instruments and supplies. Responsibilities include: Maintaining cleanliness and sterilization of instruments and equipment Ensuring a sanitary environment for patient care Applying appropriate sterilization methods per manufacturer instructions Knowledge of high-level disinfection and sterilization of endoscopy equipment Maintaining logs, testing disinfectant efficacy, biological testing, and documenting sterilization cycles Qualifications: Two years of experience in surgical instrument sterilization, preferably in an acute care or ambulatory surgery center Valid BCLS Certification (online certification not acceptable) Knowledge of AAMI and ASHCSP standards Willing to travel within a set geographic area The great hospitals will always put the patient and their family first, providing care with warmth, compassion, and dignity. - Dr. Thomas Frist, Sr., Co-Founder of HCA Healthcare If you seek an opportunity for satisfaction and growth, apply for our PRN Certified Central Sterile Tech Float Pool.
