Job DescriptionJob Overview: Join our dedicated pharmacy team at TriHealth Infusion Center Pharmacies as an Advanced Pharmacy Technician - Ambulatory Infusion. In this key role, you will assist pharmacists in ensuring safe, accurate, and timely delivery of pharmaceutical care. You'll be responsible for sterile compounding-including chemotherapy and hazardous medications-inventory management, and maintaining a compliant, sterile environment. This position calls for proactive engagement in regulatory compliance (USP 797, 800, NIOSH) and a strong commitment to patient safety and care excellence.Qualifications: High school diploma or GED (required) National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) from PTCB or ExCPT (required) Registered as a Certified Pharmacy Technician with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (required) Associate's or Bachelor's degree (preferred) 1-2 years pharmacy technician experience (required) 3-4 years sterile compounding experience (preferred) Experience with chemotherapy and hazardous compounding (preferred) PTCB Compounded Sterile Preparation Technician (CSPT) certification (preferred)Key Responsibilities: Prepare non-hazardous and hazardous compounded sterile products using aseptic techniques Maintain USP-compliant environments in hoods, cleanrooms, and anterooms Monitor temperatures, pressures, and cleaning logs daily; escalate issues as needed Perform and document routine and remedial cleaning; participate in compliance audits Manage inventory using Omnicell; reconcile invoices, handle recalls, and ensure proper drug storage Demonstrate proficiency in all compounding duties through regular competency assessments and environmental validationIncentives Offered: 1) Earning and maintaining PCTB Compounded Sterile Preparation Technician (CSPT) Certification 2) Designated trainer for Infusion Pharmacies Ambulatory Infusion Center technicians will be working with chemotherapy and hazardous medications on a daily basis and compounding is a primary job duty.Working Conditions:This role requires consistent physical and cognitive engagement in a clinical pharmacy environment.
