Position Details:
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is part of a multidisciplinary team that provides comprehensive mental health care to patients living with chronic mental illness. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will work in collaboration with our psychiatrist and registered nurses to diagnose and manage patients' mental health concerns. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will provide services in the community.
Earn $70/hr
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for conducting psychiatric patient evaluations to determine medication needs, documenting evaluations and interactions with the patient in the electronic health record.
- The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will also be responsible for prescribing pharmacologic therapies including controlled substances, monitoring progress and making necessary changes to patients' medications.
- The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will facilitate direct patient admissions into hospitals when needed.
- The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will participate in weekly multidisciplinary team meetings to develop coordinated treatment plans.
