Certified Pharmacy Technician Position Overview: We are looking for a detail-oriented and dedicated Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacy team. In this essential role, you will assist pharmacists in dispensing medications, managing inventory, and ensuring patients receive the correct medications in a timely and accurate manner. Your work will play a crucial role in patient care, supporting the overall efficiency of the pharmacy.
Certified Pharmacy Technician Key Responsibilities: Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications as directed by a licensed pharmacist. Maintain and organize pharmacy inventory, ensuring medications are stocked and stored correctly. Assist pharmacists in reviewing and processing medication orders. Provide excellent customer service by answering patient questions about medications and instructions. Process prescription refills and assist with medication-related inquiries. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper medication documentation. Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices. Assist in preparing and labeling medications and ensure proper packaging for patient use. Certified Pharmacy Technician Qualifications:
Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required. High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician program preferred. Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is a plus. Strong knowledge of pharmacology, medication dispensing, and pharmacy laws and regulations. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
