Summary
The Chief Transformation Officer is a key senior leader within the hospital system, responsible for driving process improvement and system-wide clinical and operational transformation in areas such as the Transformation Office, Operational Excellence, system-wide Case Management, Centralized Utilization Review (UR), and Early Discharge Planning. This role ensures alignment with the organization's mission, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices. The Chief Transformation Officer leads efforts to optimize patient flow, improve care quality, and implement innovative strategies to enhance efficiency and patient satisfaction across the health system.

Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Transformation: Develops and executes a transformation strategy, leads the Transformation Office, collaborates with senior leadership, and provides strategic recommendations on new care models.
- Clinical Operational Excellence & Process Improvement: Oversees transformation initiatives, drives continuous improvement, leverages analytics, and applies methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma.
- Care Coordination & Patient Flow Optimization: Manages system-wide case management, enhances discharge planning, and oversees utilization review processes.
- Regulatory Compliance & Industry Best Practices: Ensures compliance, leads process redesigns, and advocates for best practices in industry forums.
- Leadership & Organizational Impact: Fosters a culture of accountability, mentors teams, and partners to drive cost-effective strategies.
Qualifications & Experience
- Generally requires 10+ years of related experience, including leadership roles.
- Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or related field required; Doctorate preferred.
Skills & Credentials
- Knowledge of strategic planning, resource allocation, and leadership techniques.
- Skills in monitoring performance, problem-solving, and program evaluation.
- Valid license or certification as required by the role.
Physical & Environmental Conditions
This role is primarily sedentary, requiring sitting, standing, and walking. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds. Work environment is fast-paced, with potential exposure to hospital conditions and the need for PPE.
