A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As a Clean Room Technician at MKS Instruments, Inc. you will partner with the Filters Operations team to clean glass substrates for subsequent processing. In this role, you will report to the Production Manager of the Filters department.
You Will Make an Impact By:
* Receiving optical parts from fabrication, coating, or quality assurance and then cleaning parts and substrates for coating and fabrication processes
* Reviewing drawings and instructions to verify physical dimensions, cleaning methods, and appropriate tooling
* Cleaning parts using all processes according to instructions
* Completing proper records and cleaning logs * Maintains an inventory of chemicals and cleaning supplies
Skills You Bring:
* 0 to 1 year of related experience
* Strong attention to detail
* Strong organization and housekeeping
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Ability to understand and follow required work instructions and procedures
* Must be able to read and write English
Preferred Skills:
* Glass cleaning experience
* Cosmetic inspection experience
* Desire to grow with the company
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
* Perform activities such as sitting, standing, for extended periods of time
* Must have the ability to lift and handle optical components and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
* Regularly requires good manual dexterity and coordination
* Occasionally moves/positions objects up to 50 pounds
* Frequently positions self to perform tasks and positions objects below, at, and above shoulder level
* Ability to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time
* Operates in a laboratory/manufacturing environment
* Constantly interacts with specialized equipment and machinery
* Attention to safety protocols is paramount to mitigate risks associated with optical coatings
* Noise levels in the work environment are typically moderate
* Occasional exposure to chemicals and fumes may occur; adherence to safety guidelines is mandatory
