Multi-Modality XR/CT Technologist

Medical University of South Carolina We are seeking a skilled and experienced Multi-Modality XR/CT Technologist to join our radiology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, specifically focusing on X-ray (XR) and Computed Tomography (CT) modalities. This role requires a thorough understanding of imaging principles, patient care, and safety protocols to produce high-quality diagnostic images that aid in patient diagnosis and treatment. Key Responsibilities include performing diagnostic imaging procedures such as conducting X-ray and CT scans as prescribed by physicians, adjusting equipment and controls, preparing patients for imaging procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety, assisting patients in positioning, operating and maintaining imaging equipment, performing quality control checks, maintaining cleanliness of the imaging area, documenting patient information and imaging procedures in the EMR system, maintaining patient confidentiality, collaborating with radiologists and healthcare professionals, communicating effectively with patients and staff, following safety protocols, and maintaining professional certifications. Qualifications include an Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or related field, ARRT certification in Radiography and CT (or eligibility to obtain CT certification), state licensure as required, minimum 2 years experience as a Radiologic Technologist with proficiency in XR and CT, preferably in hospital or clinical settings, strong technical skills, excellent patient care and communication skills, ability to work independently and in a team, attention to detail, and ability to follow protocols. Working conditions involve standing for long periods, assisting patients, lifting and moving patients and equipment, and exposure to radiation and infectious diseases with appropriate safety measures. Additional information includes a $10,000 sign-on bonus and work schedule Tuesday-Friday 7:00am-5:30pm. Seniority level
