Orthopedic Surgeon
to join our well-established group. Qualifications include: Residency training in Orthopedic Surgery with fellowship training in adult reconstruction/joint arthroplasty, foot and ankle surgery, or pediatrics. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery (If board-eligible, must be board-certified within 5 years of completing training with American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS)), full/active North Carolina medical license and DEA registry in North Carolina. Opportunity Highlights: OrthoCare Greensboro is a hospital-employed practice including nine physicians and six APPs specializing in hand surgery, total joint replacement, sports medicine, foot & ankle, and spine. Additionally, the practice includes non-surgical physicians in physiatry and primary care/sports medicine. This opportunity offers: RVU-based & quality metric compensation model. An initial salary guarantee as new doctor builds their practice. No required physician buy-in to practice. A 25,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility that is less than two years old and houses Physical Therapy for OrthoCare patients. Additional features include two fully functional procedure rooms with C-arms, three X-ray rooms and mobile Ultrasound, and more. Referral base of over 500 physicians and advanced practice providers within Cone Health Medical Group. World Class Care: Cone Health is a not-for-profit 6-hospital system with 1100+ beds. Participates inpatient, staff, and professional education programs. Participates in educational and research programs including didactic material , formal teaching conferences, clinical teaching, staff education conferences, and clinical research. -------------------------------------------------- Liaison: Participates in liaison duties with the other professional staff, and in development of patient referral sources. Keeps referring physicians informed of care and outcomes. -------------------------------------------------- Patient Care; Provides direct and indirect patient care to the assigned areas. Provides medical supervision of the interdisciplinary team and supervises residents and medical students in all aspects of their assigned duties. Participates in clinical research projects of interest. Works in alignment and contributes towards achieving the goals and standards of MCHS. -------------------------------------------------- Quality and Safety: Participates, as needed, in medical audits, quality improvement programs, investigations, peer review, and other inquiries relating to the standards of professional care. Provides medical supervision and leadership to the interdisciplinary team to achieve the maximum benefit for each patient. Ensures safe practice standards and regulatory compliance. -------------------------------------------------- Quality Improvement: Engages in continuous improvements and use of evidence based practices working towards preeminent healthcare and service (with outcomes moving into the 90th percentile or above). Maintain records in accordance with the policies of MCHS, applicable laws and regulations. participates in development of clinical guidelines, procedures, programs, and makes recommendations to improve quality and efficiency of care. Shares specifically designated on-call responsibilities with other physician members of the assigned areas. --------------------------------------------------
