ISGlobal Service Center (GSC), operating from Chennai, India, is part of IS supporting Expeditors IT operations. GSC started with 6 employees and now has over 490 employees delivering world-class information services globally. This product-based strategic center's IT transformation has significantly changed Expeditors' IT manpower profile and skills over the past three years and will continue to do so as we grow responsibly. Expeditors is a global logistics company headquartered in Seattle, Washington. We meet the complex needs of international trade through customized solutions and seamless, integrated information systems. We are seeking talented Java developers to develop, support, and enhance applications used by our EDI team. Candidates should possess extensive Java knowledge, with the ability to visualize the entire system, understand data flows, and anticipate impacts of changes. The developer plays a key role on a collaborative project team, responsible for designing and producing core business systems that meet customer and organizational requirements, enabling the achievement of organizational goals. The role requires understanding business problems and applying technical skills in design, development, and testing of data solutions. Experience: 5 to 10 years
Minimum Qualifications:
Object-oriented programming and component-based development with Java Good knowledge of Spring Boot Familiarity with Maven, CVS, SVN, Git, and automated build/deployment tools Customer service-oriented attitude and excellent time management skills
Desired Qualifications:
WebMethods development experience and understanding of EDI data flows Familiarity with HTTP/HTTPS or other transfer protocols Experience with Angular or React Experience with Kafka or JMS Familiarity with Web Services, SOAP, or REST calls Experience with Jenkins or Chef Operating systems include UNIX, Linux, Windows
