Review project plans, specifications, and other relevant documents to prepare comprehensive and detailed cost estimates. Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes. Conduct thorough analysis of project requirements, including quantity take-offs, material pricing, labor costs, and equipment expenses. Prepare and present detailed bid proposals, ensuring compliance with client requirements and project specifications. Evaluate subcontractor bids and negotiate pricing to ensure the most cost-effective solutions. Monitor and track industry trends, market conditions, and material costs to maintain accurate estimating data and pricing databases. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior estimators and contribute to their professional development.
