General Summary
The Construction Operations Manager provides senior management with insights on the progress of the General Contracting Business Unit, which offers construction services to the Federal Government at military installations worldwide across six regional areas. This role focuses on assessing processes and performance across all functions of the Business Unit, and is critical for implementing and overseeing the Vice President’s strategy and vision, as well as achieving best practices and annual operating plan goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist the Vice President in implementing his vision and achieving Business Unit goals and objectives.
Oversee project execution and health by chairing Monthly Program Reviews, conducting site and office visits, and managing the Risk Management program.
Manage the Business Unit’s bonding and builders risk insurance programs.
Coordinate efforts of the Business Unit staff through Bid and Proposal Reviews and Go/No-Go meetings, focusing on safety and finance.
Participate in strategic planning and the implementation of strategic initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Experience, and Skills Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management required.
At least 8 years of experience in Construction Operations required.
Microsoft Certification preferred.
Strong team-building and leadership skills.
Advanced knowledge of construction operations.
Proficiency in processes and data analytics.
Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time.
