The ideal candidate will play a leadership role in advising clients on complex patent-related matters and structuring innovative transactions. Duties
Advise clients on intellectual property transactions, including patent acquisitions, licensing, and monetization strategies. Structure and negotiate agreements for patent litigation funding and other IP-related financial arrangements. Provide strategic guidance on corporate structuring related to IP assets. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate high-value IP transactions. Conduct legal due diligence and draft transaction-related documents. Stay current with evolving intellectual property laws and industry trends. Requirements
Extensive experience in intellectual property transactions, with a strong focus on patents. Proven ability to lead complex negotiations and structure sophisticated IP deals. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Education
Juris Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent legal degree. Admission to the North Carolina State Bar preferred. Certifications
Relevant certifications in intellectual property law or licensing are a plus. Skills
