The Technical Sales Engineer – Critical Power serves as the primary technical resource for the Critical Power team, managing customer assessments, product evaluations, and technical sales support. This role works closely with the sales team to develop accurate cost estimates, create technical and financial proposals, and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales process. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical expertise, project estimating experience, and the ability to translate complex power solutions into clear, value-driven proposals.

Focus:
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of power solutions and estimating best practices.
- Conduct customer assessments and provide analytical and technical support to the sales team.
- Develop comprehensive technical and financial proposals tailored to customer needs.
- Present solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Assist in design and specification development for consultants, integrators, and distributors.
- Manage subcontractor coordination, bid creation, and overall project estimating.
- Organize job site visits and compile vendor bids for final project costing.
- Maintain accurate records of quotes, project timelines, and customer interactions.
- Support customer issue resolution in alignment with company values and financial objectives.
- Identify sales opportunities and contribute to business growth.
Skill Set:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical Field, or equivalent experience in a related industry.
- 3–5 years of experience in project estimating, preferably within engineering or general contracting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Visio and/or AutoCAD preferred.
- Ability to interpret architectural, mechanical, and electrical blueprints.
- Understanding of network communication technologies (Internet, VPN, TCP/IP, Ethernet).
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed.
