The Custodian is responsible for cleaning and maintaining/repairing the residential buildings and their grounds.
Responsibilities
- Primary:
- Adhere to the custodial and preventative maintenance plan to ensure that the buildings’ common spaces, bathrooms, offices, residential spaces, laundry rooms, and grounds are clean, sanitary, and stocked with supplies.
- Manage trash disposal in accordance with NYC guidelines.
- Assist in apartment/room turnover by cleaning and preparing apartments for new residents, utilizing trade skills for minor repairs such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, roofing, and HVAC maintenance.
- Demonstrate experience and commitment to working with low-income and marginalized communities, including individuals with multiple chronic medical and behavioral health conditions.
