Job Description
Process customer orders via telephone, fax, email, and/or EDI.
Provide accurate pricing; research and address pricing discrepancies.
Suggest alternative product options; upsell and/or cross-sell where appropriate.
Ensure that product and quantities delivered meet customer expectations.
Monitor and track orders to inform customers of back orders and delivery issues.
Be knowledgeable about product information and performance expectations across all brand lines to answer questions and troubleshoot basic issues.
Educate customers on company services and policies.
Monitor call queues and prioritize tasks to support departmental goals.
Project a professional, courteous, and sincere image.
Reduce repeat contacts by providing proactive customer service with prompt follow-up.
Maintain and archive all related paperwork according to record retention policies.
Research customer concerns and complaints, taking appropriate actions within company guidelines, and document actions appropriately.
Immediately refer all product injury claims to Risk Management and Regulatory Affairs.
Monitor orders to prevent violations of FDA and regulatory guidelines, forwarding necessary documents to the Regulatory team.
Collaborate with sales representatives, managing their orders and resolving customer issues on their behalf.
Coordinate with Distribution Center managers to facilitate order processing and address shipping questions.
Document customer interactions to facilitate resolution of queries.
Provide management with customer feedback and suggestions for process improvements.
Increase product knowledge to reduce support needs from other departments.
Handle special projects such as back-order reports, freight claims, returns, credits, and discontinued products.
Assist management with other duties to support team and company goals.
Promote a team environment through cooperation and communication.
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety practices.
Qualifications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, sense of urgency, computer literacy, attention to detail, multitasking and time management skills, professional phone manner, and ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. A minimum of an Associate Degree and/or three years of related experience are preferred. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
