is seeking a
Cytotechnologist
to support our client’s facility in
Jacksonville, FL . This is a
13-week contract
opportunity offering competitive pay and valuable experience in a high-level clinical environment.
Job Summary: The Cytotechnologist will be responsible for the collection, processing, staining, and microscopic evaluation of cytologic specimens. This role requires a high degree of expertise in laboratory safety, quality control, and diagnostic procedures. Ideal for professionals passionate about diagnostic accuracy and patient care.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare and interpret cytologic specimens under a microscope. Maintain laboratory documentation and follow all safety and quality protocols. Support and educate new employees, Cytotechnologists, and Cytopreparatory Technicians. Utilize AHLTA, CHCS, and Microsoft Office Suite for recordkeeping and communication. No floating or on-call duties required.
Qualifications: Education: Bachelor of Science degree required. Licensure/Certifications: FL State Cytotechnologist License. ASCP Certification (CT required; MT preferred). Experience: Minimum 1 year of cytotechnology experience required. Preferred Skills: Experience with lab quality improvement initiatives. Strong attention to detail and interpretive skills.

13 weeks Pay Rate:
$55 - $60/hour
