Experience
- Strength and Conditioning: 2 years (Preferred)
- Athlete Training: 2 years (Preferred)
License/Certification
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; degree in related field preferred
- Current certification by the NSCA as a CSCS or by the CSCCA as a SCCC (ISSA accepted and NASM Performance Specialists Certification considered)
- Have 2 years of relevant work experience within the last 5 years. Relevant experience is defined as developing and executing task and environment specific functional injury control and health/well-being programs for groups of athletes focused on a common sport performance goal. Employment related to internships or graduate work up to one year will be considered relevant experience.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification with Automated External Defibrillators (AED) certification. Web-based classes do not meet required standards.
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English effectively
- Physically able to lift and manipulate loads and weight plates up to 45 pounds
- Strong understanding of Microsoft applications, such as Word, Excel
- Candidates must demonstrate sufficient initiative, interpersonal relationship skills, and social sensitivity such that they can relate to a variety of athletes from diverse backgrounds
