As a Technical Service and Site Engineer I, you will install, troubleshoot, and maintain our products and equipment. Responsibilities include performing electrical, electronic, and mechanical repairs, analyzing and repairing product failures, and recommending suitable systems or services for customers. Familiarity with material handling systems such as Power & Free conveyors, Skid conveyors, FDS friction conveyor, Fork Transfers, Part Carriers, and other automation equipment is required.
The ideal candidate will rely on extensive experience and judgment, lead work of others, and demonstrate creativity and problem-solving skills.
Other Responsibilities
- Monitor equipment operation and troubleshoot issues
- Complete preventive maintenance following site procedures
- Perform site-specific projects and assist in installation phases
- Manage parts inventory and interpret engineering drawings
- Conduct engineering studies and develop solutions
- Create bid documents, quotes, and negotiate with subcontractors and customers
- Understand project schedules and site activities
- Interface with project teams and resolve on-site issues
- Supervise other associates and skilled trades as needed
- Work flexible hours, including weekends, nights, and travel within the US, Canada, or Mexico
- Perform physical tasks, including climbing and lifting
- Possess PLC programming skills and machinery installation experience is preferred
- Manage schedules, budgets, and customer relations
- Debug equipment during commissioning and modifications
- Communicate effectively with customers and peers
- Utilize MS Office and 3D modeling software such as AutoCAD or Inventor
Education and Experience
- BS in electrical, mechanical, or automation engineering or equivalent
- 0-3 years experience in material handling, conveyor engineering, or related fields
