A well-established and growing civil contractor is seeking a Night Shift Superintendent to join their team immediately. This role is based on-site in Darien, CT and involves overseeing the ongoing renovation of a major commuter rail station. The ideal candidate will have experience in transportation and infrastructure projects, particularly with CTDOT or Metro-North.
Key Details:
- Night shift schedule: 9:00 PM – 5:00 AM
- On-site role in Darien, CT
- Active pipeline of transportation work across the region

Responsibilities:
- Lead all on-site construction activities and ensure work aligns with plans and schedules
- Manage subcontractors, crews, and vendors
- Ensure safety protocols are followed and site remains OSHA-compliant
- Coordinate daily with project managers and stakeholders
- Maintain progress tracking using construction management software
- Review drawings and oversee accurate implementation in the field
- Contribute to budgeting and cost control processes
Requirements:
- Willingness and ability to work night shift hours
- Reliable transportation to Darien, CT
- Must pass a pre-employment 5-panel drug screen (includes marijuana)
- Ongoing participation in FRA random drug & alcohol testing
- Prior experience with CTDOT or Metro-North strongly preferred
- Quality control certifications a plus
