Position Summary: Reporting to the Director of Database Operations, the Manager of Database Administration plays a critical role in supporting the Prostate Cancer Foundation (PCF) by managing and optimizing Raiser's Edge NXT to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and efficiency. As a power user, this role is responsible for database infrastructure, reporting, and analysis to support fundraising efforts. The Database Administrator also oversees data entry, list generation, and donor segmentation, ensuring the database effectively serves the organization's development strategy. Additionally, this position manages the Assistant Manager, Database Administration and works closely with the Director of Database Operations and fundraising team to enhance reporting, improve processes, and maximize donor engagement.
Essential Functions:
Structure the database to support donor segmentation, tracking, reporting, and strategic fundraising goals, including gift processing and prospect management. Develop and document database policies and procedures to ensure consistency in data entry, reporting, and decision-making. Develop and generate donor lists, reports, and dashboards to support fundraising, stewardship, and campaign analysis. Analyze fundraising trends and provide leadership with actionable, data-driven insights. Implement and maintain recommendations from the recent database audit to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance. Train and support staff in database best practices for efficient data entry, retrieval, and reporting. Provide leadership with guidance on best practices for data tracking and reporting. Conduct regular audits and oversee data cleanup to uphold best practices and optimize database structure for fundraising needs. Oversee event registration and management, ensuring accurate data capture for participation tracking and engagement. Participate in development team meetings to anticipate data needs for appeals, campaigns, and events. Required Skills/Competency:
5-7 years of database administration experience managing 250K+ constituent records, with a strong preference for expertise in Raiser's Edge NXT. Proven ability to structure databases to support fundraising strategies, donor segmentation, and reporting. Experience developing and implementing database policies, procedures, and data integrity protocols. Strong analytical skills with a track record of providing data-driven insights to support fundraising efforts. Prior experience managing or mentoring staff in database administration or a related field. Hands-on experience with query building, reporting, and dashboard creation in Raiser's Edge. Familiarity with event registration and donor engagement tracking within a CRM. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database management tools.
Physical Demands: Bending, sitting, lifting (20 pounds or less, not repetitive), driving, etc.
Position type and expected hours of work: Full-time, typically 8am -5pm, five days a week, but can expect to occasionally work on weekends and more than 40 hours a week infrequently. This role is in-office 4 to 5 days per week. Applicants must be local to Los Angeles or willing to relocate.
Travel: <5%.

Salary Range: $110,000 to $140,000 commensurate with experience
