What You'll Do
Conduct Patient Assessment
- Evaluate physical capabilities and develop individualized rehabilitation plans to meet patients' specific recovery goals.
- Utilize a wide range of physical therapy interventions-such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and equipment-assisted treatments-to improve strength, mobility, and function.
- Monitor outcomes, adjust treatment strategies as needed, and ensure consistent progress toward rehabilitation goals.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other rehab professionals to deliver well-rounded, patient-centered care.
- Educate patients and their support systems on home exercises, adaptive equipment, and lifestyle modifications to support long-term success.
- Promote physical activity and preventive care strategies to enhance patients' overall health and reduce the risk of re-injury.
Education:
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent
- New graduates encouraged to apply
- Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in Louisiana
- Certification in a specialty area (e.g., orthopedics, geriatrics, neurology) is a plus
- Clinical or outpatient experience preferred
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a dynamic healthcare environment
