About the Role
The Footwear Demand Planning Intern will be part of the supply chain function and will learn about forecasting wholesale customer demand, inventory management, analytics, reporting, and process improvements. The ideal intern candidate is passionate about product, customers, and data analysis with a relentless curiosity for insights that will optimize revenue, margin, and inventory productivity. This is a highly integrated position, interfacing with virtually every department, communication and collaboration is critical for success.
What You'll Gain
Current and future state process documentation experience; supporting the roll out of new technical capabilities. Reporting and analytics experience; updating, automating, and creating reports through Excel, Cognos, and Tableau data sets. Opportunities to create and manage demand forecasts and align inventory plans in assigned areas of the wholesale footwear business. Exposure to preparing and communicating forecasts and inventory measurements to management (forecast accuracy, inventory plan vs. targets, KPI's). In process of completing BA/BS degree in Business, Finance, Data Science, Accounting preferred. Wholesale experience required. Background in retail planning preferred. Proficiency in MS Excel and experience with large data sets. Enjoy intellectual curiosity, passion for learning and ability to maintain a positive attitude. A self-starter who takes the initiative and is flexible and adaptive to changing priorities.

The salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data for geographic locations. Ariat in good faith believes that this posted compensation range is accurate for this role at this location at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This contract position may be eligible for select benefits through the payrolling agency. Benefits may include medical, dental, and vision insurance options and 401k.
