NGEN is the largest IT services program for the Navy. Under the Service Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT) portion of NGEN, our team will deliver crucial services including cybersecurity, network operations, service desk support, and data transport, all aimed at enhancing the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet.

We are currently seeking a Mid-Level Desktop Support Specialist to join our dedicated team. This role involves providing direct desk-side support to clients, troubleshooting and repairing various IT devices, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
The position requires working at a government site in Washington, DC, with the following physical demands:
Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs for a distance of 100 feet; vertical lifts of 25 lbs using ladders.
Comfortable working in confined spaces, such as raised floors and communications closets, and in noisy environments like data centers.
Proficient in using basic hand tools; able to rack mount equipment safely.
Capable of identifying different colored wires and cables and possess correctable vision to 20/20.
Ability to judge distance safely while working in various environments.
Valid state driver's license is required for travel to various project locations.
Primary Responsibilities
Manage resolutions of customer tickets as per established Service Level Requirements (SLRs).
Adhere to ticket-handling protocols and guidelines.
Troubleshoot and resolve computer-related hardware and software issues.
Ensure timely completion of customer-related tasks.
Resolve issues with local and networked Multi-Function Devices, printers, and other IT hardware.
Collaborate with fellow technicians on complex technical challenges.
Basic Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship required.
Must possess DoD Secret Clearance.
High School diploma with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; additional education or certifications may substitute for experience.
Valid DoD 8570 IAT Level II: Security+ certification or higher is a must.
Proven experience in IT Enterprise Operations.
Familiarity with Microsoft Windows 10 OS.
Experience using HP Service Manager, Remedy, or similar ticket management systems.
Basic network troubleshooting abilities.
Exceptional customer service and communication skills.

Pay: $78,540.80
Work Location: Government site in Washington, DC.
