CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT SCHEDULE * Full-Time * Part-Time * Day Shift * Evening Shift * Night Shift CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS * High school graduate or equivalent. * Certified by professional organization in the state. * Subject to initial and ongoing security clearance requirements. * Acute care experience preferred. CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Takes vital signs, height and weight. * Assists with PPDs and EKGs. * Draws blood. * Measures and records intake and output. * Assists with patient treatments such as dressing changes, decubitus ulcer, and tracheostomy care. * Adheres to Universal Precaution procedures and established Infection Control procedures. * Schedules appointments. * Adheres to safety and security policies and participates in disaster drills. * Is proficient with CPR and recognizes need to implement. Receive re-certification training annually. * Assists in cleaning, sterilizing and securing of equipment. * Follows security regulations for keys, sharps, and controlled medications.
