Job Overview

The HR Director will work with the VP of HR to develop departmental goals, establish policies, and oversee HR functions to ensure effective employee relations, compliance, and organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement departmental objectives and policies.
2. Lead HR Relationship Managers to ensure consistent practices across divisions.
3. Manage Employee Relations programs, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
4. Advise management on personnel policies, regulations, and programs.
5. Oversee onboarding, offboarding, and front desk functions for smooth hiring processes.
6. Coordinate risk management and legal matters, including unemployment hearings.
7. Monitor organizational issues affecting morale through staff surveys and hospital rounding.
8. Analyze turnover and vacancy trends; collaborate on retention strategies.
9. Manage departmental budget and ensure compliance with HR standards.
10. Oversee exit interviews, analyze trends, and develop retention plans.
11. Collaborate with HRIS, Recruitment, and Compensation teams on improvements.
12. Lead key projects such as orientation, policy updates, employee engagement surveys, and training modules.
13. Review and draft administrative policies as needed.
14. Support the VP of HR in their absence.

Qualifications and Skills

• Ability to influence, negotiate, and lead by example with integrity and transparency.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant HR software.
• Knowledge of JCAHO and Title 22 HR standards, government regulations, and employment practices.
• Excellent counseling, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in various settings.
