About the Director of Planned Giving In Touch Ministries is seeking a visionary and accomplished Director of Planned Giving to provide strategic leadership and drive the growth of our planned giving initiatives. This is a pivotal role for an individual who is not only an expert in planned giving but also a passionate champion for the ministry’s core values and its mission: to lead people worldwide into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and strengthen the local church. As Director, you will be instrumental in cultivating enduring partnerships and securing vital resources to fuel the ongoing impact of In Touch Ministries. The Director of Planned Giving’s responsibilities include: Strategic Leadership & Growth:
Develop and execute innovative strategies to significantly expand all planned giving efforts, maximizing their contribution to the ministry’s mission and long-term sustainability. Team Leadership & Development:
Provide inspirational leadership and clear direction to the Planned Giving Team, fostering a collaborative, results-oriented, and high-performing culture. Best Practices & Compliance:
Champion and implement industry-leading best practices in planned giving administration, donor engagement, and compliance to ensure operational excellence and ethical standards. Donor Partner Relationship Cultivation:
Identify, cultivate, and deepen meaningful relationships with key donor partners who have the capacity and inclination to make planned gifts, employing a personalized and strategic engagement approach. Education & Outreach:
Spearhead the development and execution of comprehensive educational and promotional strategies to build broad awareness and understanding of planned giving opportunities among prospective donors. Data Analysis & Insights:
Analyze and interpret trends in donor planned giving activity and market dynamics to inform strategic decision-making, refine outreach efforts, and identify new opportunities for growth. Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
Partner effectively with various ministry departments to maintain a comprehensive understanding of current initiatives, giving priorities, and donor engagement opportunities, ensuring seamless integration of planned giving with overall ministry goals and messaging. What you bring The following describes many of the characteristics of the ideal candidate for the Director of Planned Giving: Required Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree is essential. A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible professional experience, including at least 2 years specifically focused on planned giving. Demonstrated expertise and proficiency in planned giving software and tools, including but not limited to PG Calc, GiftWrap, Studio Enterprise, Excel, and Crescendo. A deep and abiding love for Jesus Christ, coupled with a genuine passion for advancing the Gospel and building disciples in alignment with the mission of In Touch Ministries. Active and in good standing membership in a local church. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial and philanthropic concepts with clarity and persuasiveness to diverse audiences. A proven track record of taking initiative, proactively driving projects to completion, and demonstrating strong independent judgment. A steadfast commitment to excellence in all aspects of work and the ability to consistently meet deadlines with high-quality results.
