Job Summary
Indiana University Human Resources is seeking a forward-thinking candidate for an HR Business Partner at the level of Human Resources Leader - Senior Operational. Reporting to the Senior HR Director for University Administration, this position will work as an embedded HR professional within Capital Planning and Facilities (CPF), collaborating directly with and supporting CPF leadership. The HR Business Partner will lead a team of other committed HR professionals and be responsible for the development and execution of the Human Capital Strategy for CPF. Department-Specific Responsibilities
Manages departmental efforts on employee and labor relations issues including investigations and recommendations on appropriate courses of action. Collaborates with engagement project lead on proactive programming to ensure a welcoming and collaborative work environment. Drives meaningful results in support of the vision and objectives of CPF through effective engagement of the university's resources. General Responsibilities Develops, motivates and leads a highly effective HR team that delivers value to the organization with expert recruiting, talent and development, succession planning and other human capital activities. Partners directly with leadership to develop and implement HR strategies. Provide strategic HR oversight to specified client groups, acting as a trusted adviser to leadership. Acts as a primary point of contact for senior leaders, providing expertise and guidance in the areas of organizational performance, culture, and change. Coaches leaders on leadership behaviors and practices focusing on development and performance strategies to promote engagement and a culture of continuous growth and development. Leads key HR processes and initiatives, leveraging and partnering with COEs. Provides strategic HR consulting and problem-solving solutions on the most complex issues to leadership.

EDUCATION Required Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business or a related field Preferred Master's degree in a related field WORK EXPERIENCE Required 5 years of progressive HR responsibility or related experience influencing a wide variety of internal stakeholders 2 years of management experience in HR or related functions Preferred Demonstrated labor relations experience LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES Required SHRM-SCP/SHPR within 2 years from date of hire SKILLS Required Ability to inspire and develop staff Ability to lead/manage others Builds and manages effective teams Effective leadership skills Effectively coaches and delivers constructive feedback Instills commitment to organizational goals Strong HR generalist background Proven ability to manage, lead, and drive change initiatives to deliver business results Proven background in strategic influence and negotiation and is skilled in communicating and influencing a wide variety of internal stakeholders resulting in mutually beneficial outcomes Strong business acumen to help lead and drive change Preferred Fluency in the Spanish language
Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

Advertised Salary
$95,000 - $102,000 based on qualifications and experience
