Job Summary
The Director, Communications, will play a pivotal role in shaping and managing Trimont's global internal and external communications strategy. This position requires an experienced, dynamic individual capable of executing a comprehensive communication plan that aligns with our corporate objectives, enhances client and team member engagement, and reflects the Trimont brand voice.
This role seeks a strategic thinker with outstanding communication and writing skills, who can produce clear, consistent, and engaging content across diverse mediums and for all levels and regions of the organization. The successful candidate will possess a strategic mindset, creativity, and the ability to develop compelling narratives.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute a strategic global internal communications plan that effectively supports Trimont’s objectives and drives internal engagement. Manage the creation of high-quality content for various internal channels, ensuring it is engaging, informative, consistent and tailored to specific audiences within Trimont. This includes managing all employee email communications, intranet updates, and presentations. Draft and publish compelling content for Trimont’s LinkedIn account, focused on elevating the firm’s brand visibility and reputation in the market. Collaborate with People & Culture (P&C) and other departments to ensure consistent messaging that supports various internal programs and initiatives. Support and communicate Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) initiatives, promoting and supporting the Trimont resource groups (TRGs). Measure and report on the effectiveness of internal communication efforts, leveraging data and analytics and adjusting plans as needed. Serve as internal communications editor, reviewing all internal materials and messaging prior to distribution to ensure clarity, consistency and alignment with Trimont’s voice. Support branding efforts and contribute to the development of collateral materials that reinforce Trimont's brand identity. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in internal communications, leveraging new tools and technologies to enhance the employee experience.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. 7+ years of experience in marketing and communications, with a focus on internal and external communications. Proven track record of developing and executing successful internal communication strategies in a global organization. Proven experience in crafting compelling content for digital platforms, particularly LinkedIn. Exceptional writing, editing and verbal communication skills. Strong strategic thinking and project management skills. Strong understanding of the commercial real estate and financial services industry is preferred. Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders. Proficiency in using communication applications and tools, including Canva, Salesforce Marketing Cloud and advanced skills in Microsoft applications. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Organizational and administrative skills. Skilled in managing sensitive information while upholding privacy. Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
