Now Hiring: Director of MDS – Skilled Nursing Facility
We are a leading skilled nursing facility in the Bronx seeking a
Director of MDS
to join our leadership team. With a team dedicated to excellence in long-term and short-term care, we offer a unique opportunity for a nursing professional with experience in clinical assessment and care planning.
About the Role As the Director of MDS, you will plan, develop, and oversee the Resident Assessment Department, ensuring compliance with all regulatory guidelines and leading performance improvement initiatives. You’ll collaborate across clinical and fiscal teams to drive accurate assessments, care plans, and Medicare coverage decisions.
Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise the MDS department staff Ensure accurate and timely MDS assessments and documentation Conduct training for clinical staff on MDS, PPS, ADLs, and care planning Manage QA programs and participate in regulatory inspections Serve as Administrator on Duty when assigned
✅ Qualifications RN, licensed in NY State Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field PRI Certification At least 5 years of experience in long-term care Strong knowledge of MDS, PPS, Medicare reimbursement, and care planning
What We Offer Competitive salary:
$175,000 – $185,000 Comprehensive medical and dental benefits 4 weeks vacation, 15 sick days, and 11 paid holidays Pension plan & tuition reimbursement Work in a supportive, mission-driven environment
