Tenure Status Non-Tenure Track Minimum Qualifications PhD in Education or relevant field. Position Summary The Director of Community Building and Outreach role is to build community within the DVM student population and coordinate outreach to potential veterinary students with the community at large, both from the undergraduate population and pre-college students. More specifically, this position co-coordinates the student ambassador program and participates with them in activities such as college tours, and events such as student orientation and graduation. Additionally, it will oversee all current outreach events (vet school for a day, 1.0, 1.5, and 2.0) and Co-coordinate VetCAMP and create new opportunities for informing potential applicants about opportunities within the veterinary profession, in venues further afield including both secondary education sites around the state as well as other colleges. The Director of Community Building and Outreach will also oversee the College’s Certificate in International Veterinary Medicine. Additional Requirements Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, and/or Certification At least three years of professional or management experience in an educational setting, preferably with experience in potential veterinary students community outreach and recruitment. At least three years of experience working with veterinary students, including student ambassadors preferred. Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to tailor communication strategies to suit varied audiences

Ability to build strong and sustainable relationships with DVM students and potential veterinary students. Program Management: Three years of experience in developing, managing, and evaluating programs and initiatives. Problem Solving:
Ability to analyze situations and develop effective courses of action. Organizational and Planning Skills:
Strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and organize multiple projects effectively. Physical Demands Ability to work at a desk, conference table or in meetings of various configurations. Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
