The
Director of Warehouse & Logistics Operations
is responsible for overseeing daily logistics operations, including personnel management, Warehouse Management System (WMS), warehouse operations (including 3PL), inventory control, customer service, fleet, and freight management. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Supply Chain/Logistics or related field preferred. Minimum of 4 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in transportation, including freight, ocean, rail, and freight forwarding inbound and outbound.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor Semi-driver adherence to DOT CDL rules and regulations. Coordinate with Customer Service, Planning, and Production to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. Resolve issues related to WMS, transportation, logistics systems, inventory, or customer concerns. Manage freight costs for inbound, transfers, and outbound shipments using various carriers and modes. Maintain staffing levels and manage labor costs. Develop SOPs and implement best practices for quality, safety, and efficiency. Oversee maintenance programs for warehouse equipment and lift trucks. Manage relationships with 3PL providers, including invoice verification and approval. Ensure daily inventory accuracy across all 3PL locations. Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance logistics efficiency. Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and paperwork.
