We're looking for a strategic and collaborative Director of Merchandise Planning and Allocation to lead the Planning and Allocation team for Beyond Yoga retail stores. In this role, you'll drive financial and operational performance across our store fleet, ensuring that inventory strategies align with brand goals and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
You'll be a key member of the cross-functional leadership team, working closely with partners in Merchandising, Store Operations, Finance, Brand Environment, and Marketing. You'll also collaborate with the broader Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and report directly to the VP of Merchandise Planning & Inventory Management (MPIM) for Beyond Yoga.
About the Job Present and align investment strategies with leadership teams. Work closely with Merchandising and Store Operations to align planning workload with the GTM calendar and key milestones. You will report into our VP, Merchandise Planning & Inventory Management (MPIM) Strategic Planning & Leadership
Lead the development of top-down seasonal strategies for Beyond Yoga stores. Partner with Finance to build annual financial and operational plans for the retail channel. Collaborate with Product Development (PD) and Sourcing to influence supply and inventory decisions that support store performance. Financial & Operational Execution
Identify and act on business risks and opportunities with actionable strategies. Oversee the creation of top-down and bottom-up financial plans that support category and store-level goals. Lead the monthly OTB process and weekly business reviews to ensure category plans support the lever forecast (e.g., traffic, conversion, UPT). Store Planning & Allocation
Direct the Allocation team to ensure stores are supported with the right inventory at the right time and size level. Optimize in-stock rates and inventory productivity across the store fleet. Support new store openings and remodels with tailored planning and allocation strategies. In-Season Management
Drive in-season performance by managing promotions, markdowns, and marketing alignment. Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure store inventory supports key brand moments and campaigns. About You
10+ years of experience in Merchandise Planning, Allocation, Demand Forecasting, or Inventory Management. 8+ years of leadership experience with a proven ability to manage and develop high-performing teams. Strong analytical and storytelling skills-able to translate data into insights and action. Proven ability to influence and collaborate across diverse cross-functional teams.
This is a hybrid position based in our Culver City, CA headquarters or San Francisco, CA office. You will be expected in office 3 days per week typically Tuesday-Thursday. Note, time in office can vary depending on business needs. If based in San Francisco, periodic travel will be expected to Beyond Yoga's HQ in Culver City.
The expected starting salary range for this role is $144,800- $219,300 per yearWe may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, performance and business needs.
