A leading industrial services organization is seeking a
Director of Strategic Pricing
to develop and lead the enterprise-wide pricing strategy. This role oversees pricing operations, margin optimization, and profitability across a diverse
product
and
service portfolio . The Director will collaborate with sales, contracts, marketing, procurement, and finance teams to align pricing with market dynamics, customer expectations, and business objectives. The position aims to transform pricing into a competitive advantage through technology, analytics, and strategic execution. Key Responsibilities
Design and implement a comprehensive pricing strategy supporting profitability and market competitiveness. Utilize economic and industry trends to develop data-driven pricing models for various customer segments and bids. Lead the adoption of advanced pricing tools, systems, and analytics for strategic decision-making and dynamic pricing. Monitor pricing performance, evaluate contract terms, and respond to market changes in collaboration with internal teams. Ensure pricing governance and compliance with regulatory and contractual standards. Manage and mentor the pricing team, fostering continuous improvement. Develop standard operating procedures and maintain system integrity within the pricing function. Identify and develop high-potential team members as part of talent development. Participate actively in hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations. Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration. Qualifications
Minimum 6 years of experience in pricing strategy within an industrial or service organization. Strong program management and cross-functional leadership skills. Experience leading pricing teams and implementing large-scale pricing technology solutions. Expertise in pricing analytics, dynamic pricing, and margin optimization. Ability to present to C-level stakeholders and navigate complex organizational structures. Strong business acumen with the ability to interpret financial reports for pricing strategies. Proficiency in ERP and Procure-to-Pay systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle). Six Sigma, Lean, or related process improvement certification (Green Belt or Black Belt) preferred. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence across functions. High initiative, accountability, and emotional intelligence. Seniority Level
