Do you have experience with state disability laws, FMLA, and state payroll systems? California Energy Commission (CEC) is hiring a customer focused Disability Coordinator for the Payroll & Benefits Unit of the Personnel Office.
The Disability Coordinator will develop departmental communications, provide technical assistance and guidance regarding the Commission's personnel management program to managers, supervisors, and CEC employees.

Desirable Qualifications:
- Familiar with California State civil service laws, rules, and regulations.
- Knowledge of FMLA, CFRA, PDL, SDI, and NDI and processing workers' compensation pay.
- Knowledge and experience with State Controller’s Office (SCO) systems: PIMS, HIST, PIP, CLAS, REPT/Mobius View and ConnectHR.
- Knowledge of CalHR, State Personnel Board, and SCO policies.
- Experience with state payroll systems, processes, and policies.
- Ability to research thoroughly and write effectively following policy and grammatical rules.
- Interpreting and explaining regulations, laws, and policy.
- Demonstrate a willingness to assume duties of various complexity and adapt to changing priorities.
- Be proficient in the use of various computer word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications and be willing to learn new technological tools and incorporate them into daily tasks.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, presenting information and expressing ideas clearly, confidently, and convincingly.
- Demonstrate ability to follow directions, protocols, and procedures.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence with the ability to work in a multi-disciplined team environment.
- Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize and work well under pressure to meet quick deadlines.
- Excellent customer service skills.
