Overview
- Education: Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Able to pass Nebraska Department of Education physical.
- Must possess a valid Nebraska Driver's License and have a good driving record.
- Must be able to interact professionally and calmly with students and families.
- Available as assigned by the Transportation Director.
- Drives routes at regularly assigned times.
- Reports to the bus barn 30 minutes before assigned depart times and performs pre-trip inspections of the vehicle.
- Understands and follows all rules and regulations for bussing as set forth by the State of Nebraska and the Board of Education for the transportation of school children.
- Monitors safety supplies in and on all special education vehicles.

- Ensures a safe environment for students as they ride the vehicle.
- Ensures that only registered and approved students and staff ride in the vehicle.
- Exercises sound judgment and maintains good public relations with parents, students, and staff.
- Keeps the interior of the vehicle clean (floors swept, windows clean, etc.)
